If I Only Changed the Software, Why is the Phone on Fire?: Embedded Debugging Methods Revealed: Technical Mysteries for Engineers
At my student days, often I will stumble upon 2 type of people, the math people and the art people. The math people will took mainly all science subject in class like Physic, Calculus and Chemistry. Art people on the other hand will take subject like History,Literature and Music. Community often sees the math people is more superior in terms of knowledge. This is because this people will involve on professional job like Engineer, Statistician, Doctor and scientist. While the university / college never put a status for any faculty, it’s like a stigma that Engineering or Medical dept. will be like a first class and History dept. got the 2nd class in the eye of the outsiders.
Maybe a fanatic Engineers at Heart will feel like the country still can be develop and moving without a historian or a painter. This is because they do the job and who need some one who just talking?. Ahah! Then we come to the conclusion human is not a robot. A high rank engineer or a surgeon can do the job but as a human we do have limit. We will feel tense, frustrated, ego, feel empty, lonely or even too proud. Japan a highly develop and industrialized nations is among the world’s highest suicide case. Who don’t know Japanese, they invaded the world with their cars and electronics. They kept on eventing new things everyday with the KAIZEN Principe. Maybe there are thousand of qualified engineers and scientist at Japan. Just look at their robot and updated gadget…so fast. But people there got stress so easy and jumped in front of a moving train or jump from mount Fuji to get rid off all the entire world problems. Naah that goes for the first class degree mentality. List of world suicidal rate by country here.
A person do need a little bit of music to cheer up the day, a little bit of color to lift the mood, refer to the history to know the roots and avoid the past mistake. There is a soul to be fill with. Now not only for people, many manufacturer also add a touch of art at their technology to make the products sell. Just look all the Apple company products from imac, ibook, ipod and iphone. And from the day they produce the imac, they set a new trend for consumer technology. Now all want to build products with sleek design, designer concept and colorful. I have pull out some of the ‘Tech Art’ Below:

HP Pavilion dv2800 Artist Edition

Nokia’s Morph Cell Phone Concept
/>

Sharp’s POP-UP sleek 52″ LCD TV
See what art can enhance consumer satisfaction on technology. One thing for sure why math people think that art people is a bit freak because of this :

A layman like me really don’t know how this people can value such thing for $20 million at Sotheby’s auction. A fine art?
