Private or Government?

Service will usually come from Private Sector and The Government, little those NGO.  The most clear example is in Health care. Malaysia is a country that give almost free medical service to its citizen. But the people also have the option to go the the Private Hospital.  We all know that health care   are among the high cost  sector. So not many of Malaysian people can afford the treatment at the private hospital. When it comes to government property, usually the asset will be expensive and high in quality. This is because government have big allocation and the asset will be used by  public. This included small thing like the gauze and the medicine at full concentrate.

Private sectors as we all know are business oriented. Thus making profit to the max is the main objective and it’s a crucial thing to them.  To get a very good service we must pay a very high price.  Usually the price of service offers by private are very high but they can guaranteed a top notch service. Profit margin are the secret weapon in  the business. We usually can’t see beneath it. Without proper margin maybe they would not do the job at 100% acceleration. For example, health care is a very noble service as it involve human live.  But when we think profit first then saving life 2nd, It will be abusive. When we are not thinking about returns when working, than it is a very sincere work.  So logically, government workers at the hospital being paid lower wages than private and never thought about fees must be sincere in their job because they also working on call for example.

Doctors at private hospital will charge you on consultation fees but I don’t really know about their monthly income. But it’s likely they will got a lot more. Usually people will said that government hospital are very slow and not very nice to the customers. Also the food sucks. But you got free treatment and the medicine are at at par with the private hospital. Doctors also at the same level just at the government they are paid less. I think they will be no such things as low class doctor at  because this is a very important field of knowledge and the exam must be stringent… But if we can pay to the max and money is not a problem we deserve what we want. Sincerity is not even a topic, just pay and delivered…done.

Distributing project by the government to the private sectors indeed will catalyst the economy and people can set up more new businesses.  But there are some part that must have direct supervision from the government. Things like helping the poor or  helping nation in outbreak for example, will burden the people if  they just outsource it to the private. Recently government subsidized the H1N1 vaccine for only RM80 and the market price is RM400. Same like helping poor students or young graduates by giving trainings. Malaysia have many Institution that subsidized all the trainings for them for at a very low fees but  not compromising the technology of the facilities.

Well… hope our government can keep subsidizing us for a longer period or maybe forever? Somehow that make Malaysia unique from other countries in the world. A very-very caring government in the world :-) .
