Have you ever used the Blackberry map? I think you will end up more deep into the puzzle  – and you will lost. Talk about GPS map on mobile, we can say Garmin is the thing.  So I just  to show a bitter smile when my friends arrives in time at the location with their old Nokia with Garmin.

While I’m scouting the Internet searching for free usable map at least like Garmin on the Blackberry storm, actually Garmin have a setting for Blackberry GPS with or without  built it GPS. You can find it here.

By 5 reason write the tech republic. Although Blackberry exist earlier than iPhone and the droids. For average consumers here in Malaysia only realizes what is actually a blackberry maybe around a year ago. Before that one year, we don’t take blackberry into consideration when buying a mobile phone. Now I see more Blackberry than iPhone here. Many boss are using it. I don’t know if they are following trend or really know and like to use it. When the bosses are using it, it inspired the lower level to also used it .

The things that you don’t usually see at other mobile phone company. These is because they are actually not purposely to be a mobile phone itself. We can service provider promoting these two differently with other mobile phone brands. The different is we must by iPhone and BlackBerry with a data package…Because the touch screen of Storm and iPhone kinda little bit same (technically not). You can try the iPhone on BlackBerry Storm. I can’t find the setting in the phone my self but it can be done using a simple software. Here is one of the users review:

luvnit
February 21 2010
Once I allowed all the permissions n got it up n running, I loved it. Keeps my x husband from harrassing by blocking his number. Finally I can sleep at night, without having to shut my phone off n miss emergency calls.

The software can be downloaded directly from your Blackberry at  Blackberry appworld website here.  Price is only $2.99 and pay by paypal. Some of the software features:

- Pick up and hang up on the caller, or send them to voicemail
- Extremely quick blocking and efficient operation through integration with Options screen, along with an icon to show you the current mode (Enabled or Disabled)
- Comprehensive bulk blocking options–private numbers, unknown numbers, numbers not in your contacts, or even all numbers for privacy
- Easily add numbers from your call logs or contact list, or by entering by hand
- Block entire area codes (800, 866, etc)
- Automatically send SMS to callers to let them know you are busy, or any other message you want
